Hello Irina,
I am a 53yr old man in Australia and I have been scammed for $2200 Australian dollars.

I found my scammer on your site, although I know her by a different name. You have her down as Olga Craimen/Arslanova and living in Murmansk and email craimen@list.ru.

My Olga is Tatyana Ponomaryova and although she told me she lived in Sovetska she picked up my money in Yoshkar-Ola and her email is fineflower5262@yahoo.com she found me on Match.com and her name there was Gloria234432 . The crazy thing is after I sent the first $1000 I had this terrible feeling I was being scammed but stupidly I sent off another $1200. She said she was coming to Australia but had trouble at the customs house as they found an Icon in her luggage.  My Tanya offered to send my money back to me. She does not know that I know she's a scammer so I will play along with her... but no more money.  She thinks I’m trying to get her to immigrate to Australia.

I have 14 photos of her, so if you want me to send you some more of her then just write back to  my personal email swedishemu@hotmail.com

A question Irina, is there anyway I can report her to the authorities in Russia?........as they are making all this money can't the tax man get her.

Thank you for your site, I have learnt my lesson the hard way.

Yours sincerly,
Joshua

Subject: Re: Scammer

Hello Joshua,

I am so sorry that you suffered from them and have not found the information earlier.
Unfortunately to begin the process against them you need to come to Russia to Yoshkar-Ola. After you come to the police and report them, they will begin the process. They will ask you later to come to the court, but then they will pay for your travel and other expenses. But now to begin all the processing your presence there is needed :(
Yoshkar-Ola is a scamming center of Russia now, a half year ago a lot of arrests were made there and people put to prison, but obviously a part of the scammers group still is alive and working. And it would be good to put them to prison.

Best regards,
Irina

Dear Irina,
Thanks for the information, if I had a lot of money i would travel to Yoshkar-Ola and pursue this. I do travel to Europe quite often so I will see.
Irina how did you get into this business of outing these people? Also do these women work alone or would Tatyana/Olga be paid on commission in a bigger group?
Do you know of any websites that tell of scammers from Nigeria and Ghana? I don't like to think that everyone out there is a scammer but this experience has put a bad taste in my mouth.
I will also be writing to Match.com and telling them to lift their efforts to stop these people working from their site.
Do you think I should keep writing to this woman, or just let it go? I dare say Tatyana will stop writing to me when she knows no more money is coming.
Thanks again......
Sincere Regards,
Joshua

Dear Joshua,

I am the owner and director of a marriage agency in Russia, have many sites and several programs for men. In the beginning of work in this field I was aware of scammers, but it did not touch me, it was far away. I had two sites (one in Russian - for girls, another - in English for men) and as they were small they did not attract the attention of scammers. Then first scammers began to register and try to scam men. I deleted them but mostly after a man complained, checking in scammer lists did not help much. Very often my personal clients (VIP clients) become my friends and one of them suffered from scammers (thanks God not from a scammer from my site, but from a scammer from Russia and it was a shock). That night I wrote an article about scammers, you can find it on the site - Scammers and their ways. I came to work after the nights' writing, made a new site (for 3 days actually), began first to put there my scammers and scammers that men register there. About 30 Russian women register at my site daily, but I activate about two third of them, it is rather a big job, I do the checking of new girls who register, we have huge database of IP-addresses from where the scammers come, we check in the residents' databases of some cities if the girls exist and so on. I can't say that we never allow scammers in, I wish it with all my heart but it is impossible. They can find a new way, they can take another IP-address, the scammer can be new in this market, but I hope that they do not live on our site more than a day or two after activation. After activation we check them in two days and see if a scammer crawled in. That's why I decided that I can help men to check the ladies they communicate also. It is better if a man realizes that he communicates with a scammer and will be on guard that he fell victim to her.
In Youshkar-Ola big scammers group were arrested twice. Usually it is a group of about 200 people. Most part of them is just a hired workers. Scammer group heads put the advertisement in the newspapers about work: they want young girls as couriers. They take them to work, and their task is just to go to different cities or there and take money by Western union. That's all. These women are not aware of any communication from their name, not of anything else, they just help their business to get money from abroad.
There are men-students, who come to the special offices and send standard letters to men. It is their job to send 40-50 letters a day. There are women who come and phone to men, they are told. Their task is to come, have short talk and phone the next man.
Everything is organized like in manufacture. The group that was arrested had income of 0.5-2 mln dollars a month. Rather profitable business (unfortunately in Russia it is more profitable to lead criminal business than legitimate and honest :()

Match.com and other sites have bad time with Russian scammers. Russian people mostly do not have credit cards and they can’t just come there, pay and be. So I am almost sure that 99 percent of women from Russia there are scammers. The problem is that these scammers from Yoshkar -Ola use anonimizer-servers in USA, UK and some other countries  to register to match.com, pay from false credit card and often in two days be deleted (for using false credit cards).
On my site I have to close all the access from anonimizers, scammers from Nigeria, Ghana, and Russia came from there in numbers. It is easier for me to work with scammers - I activate all the profiles personally after check. They can't do it and usually delete them later (after they managed to catch several tens of men).

I would just stop communicating with her. They do not stop if you just write that you won't send any money. They will hope to the end that something can change the situation. There will be requests, crying, and pledges of honesty. Do you need that? I think, no.
Forget, and go further!!!!
It’s easy to avoid scammers - just put realistic goals (not women 40 years younger than you and blond models) and be active yourself. Do not wait for women to begin communication. Russian women mostly have old family values and they want men to be the initiators. It is scammers who want just money and can write, write, write the first letters.

Best regards, Irina

Dear Irina,
Thanks again for your information, I congratulate you on your endless effort to rid the internet of these people.......however I imagine it's a near impossible job to succeed in completing.
Would you believe I knew what I was getting in for but somehow my writer got under my guard? It was a bitter lesson but no I have learnt it..........and stupidly I am still writing to this person as now it has become a game.
So my Tatyana Ponomaryova/Olga Craimen or whatever she calls herself isn't the person I am actually writing to?... or do some of these women go freelance and venture out on their own?
I understand it's easy money......however I reckon if they put all their efforts to a real job they would go a long way.

I hope you don't mind me writing to you Irina but I find this absolutely fascinating.

Also I have joined your dating site, or I think it's yours..."All Single Russian Girls".......although I will have to pay through 'Western Union' as I only have an Amex card and it wont go through.
Well, thanks again Irina and I hope I don't take up too much of your time.

Sincere Regards,
Joshua

Hello Joshua,

I think, they are good psychologists, many people are aware of them, but when the scammers came to their door, they give money and to the end refuse to believe that the girls are not real but scammers.
There are freelancers there, but they work in another way, and they have less scale of work and different methods. They write more personalized letters and they are usually from Ukraine.
Yes, this is my site. I have written to you that you can pay from american express (go to prices page, choose the plan you want, click on it, and there you can see (the second option) that you can pay by american express, click on it. :)
It is all right. I have a one year old baby now and he takes really much time from my work :) It was a pleasure to talk to you

Best regards,
Irina
