Yes, for sure. It is a usual trick of scammers to take money from men. They pretend that it is easy (and possible ) to get visas to USA, just pay 500 usd and go (funny). And ask a man to help them with this. Then they will ask (do not illusion yourself, it is not a she, it is they) to send them money for tickets, if you send, then next request will be money so that they could have it on hands when they enter the USA. If you are foolish enough to send this also, the next request can be from Moscow, from airport, that she needs to wait there but it is too expensive there. If you send this money also then she will just disappear or another person will write that something has happned to her.

There are many honest women. But if you go to the dirty far away street and look for a lady there, you can do it for lots of years. Here it is the same.
I do not know where you meet all these "ladies" but I think it is not the best way and place to meet normal Russian women. It is either some Western site like yahoo or american singles that do not fight with scammers all right.
Or it is free site where they also can't hire and work with checking (on my sites I have to hire full time worker to work with girls and check the new members who register and check them a bit later, and it is plus to checking the ip of all women who register.). Normal women have work, have their life, they just register somewhere and communicate with men who write to them, scammers work, work, work the whole day, sending first letters, and other letters and doing it the whole days. Another thing is to be active yourself. Do not wait for the girls to be active and write to you. It is not our tradition. We have traditional family values and in their light it is a man's way to begin contact , it is he who should show initiative at first. Follow these simple rules and you will find many Russian women.

All of the letters were from scammers, from one and the same group - Yoshkar-Ola (I recognize their style). I did not see any difference. Thought it was from the same girl.
They are all standard letters and obviously of this language (has the same mistakes).
