how and where can i find a way to check yahoo id's to see where they originate or if someone has multiple accounts (used for scamming). you dont see too much on profile scamming/stealing profiles. do they have a web site? or service that can check id's somehow to see if its legit? from what i have read in this article most of the warning signs are there. i have been conversing for 5months with an interest and at times i have received other friends request that make me feel who ever i am talking to somehow with help uses more than one profile to contact me, using the others to check out, get aggressive(to try to speed up some kind of collection process). i have also felt at times that i when i talked to this contact that it was different people. because of certain words used, temperament, topics discussed or not discussed. i have also accepted friends request and could tell a difference right away that it was a scam profile. went straight to i love you, or can i have money for things like passports,cameras,cable, internet bill, plane ticket. they all went away pretty quick when they were told no money usually in a week or two. only reason i talked to those was to study them to see their mode of operation. that's why this other one with 5 month contact is so disturbing, they are really patient and seem to be good at what they do. as of late with them having the idea of money maybe coming their way i have noticed new differences, such as change in time meeting online, not as much conversation, same words used repeatedly, wont answer questions about family. i feel like i was handed off to the collections department. i do thing all the time to test this individual, such as say things to try to make them mad which they do. i ask them about a topic discussed earlier in the relationship such as that blue card you sent was nice, when in fact it was green, something of that nature. i guess really looking at in typing in front of me i pretty much know the answer, what i am looking at is fraud. i had tried to check lists to see if this id or the others were listed somewhere but could not find them. i tend to try to give the benefit of the doubt to people.but the more i read the more i understand that things arent always what they appear to be.

Hello, Some scammers use quick tactics, some slow. It is not separate people, it is very often one scammer group, that has 200 people working there, they work according to given scenario. That's why you see similar expression, temperament and so on. You can't check if the person has multiple accounts or not on yahoo or any other mail service provider. Unfortunatelly , they do not give it, and very probably do not have themselves. You can try to write to this person from your another account, something like You have sent me a letter but I was busy that time. And see if the letters are similar. If yes.... then no need to wait for the outcome and waste your time. Best regards, Irina

i have tried to use another id to check it out. and when i tried to talk to her through another id she was like i dont know you get out of here, as if to give the impression of being offended. really thank you so much for the help. i did find an address site address doctor to check the given address and came up with several hits it produced different city for the zip given i tried different configurations to see what it would bring up and pretty much same city.

Hello, It is useless to check her ip if she uses yahoo. they change the ip to theirs. Some mail providers do not do it, but yahoo and mail.ru do it unfortunately, and it is bad. Best regards, Irina

so how that work the ip? and what does that stand for? and no real way of telling where its originating from then?

When women register to my site then I see for sure from where they go, if their ip belongs to ip of scammers, I know if they tell truth about their whereabouts and some other infromation ( I have large database of information concerning this). but when you try to check by ip from their mail, then it mostly does not work. Scammers understand that yahoo for them is ideal and safe and work from there. Irina

It is also heavy on other free sites where there is no checking for this actiivvty - like datemefree and lavalife. Irina
