| Scamming scenario : I've been scammed by a "Russian Beauty". Deep down I knew it had to be a scam, but I felt it was worth my time because of all the pictures she sent me (15 total). She took me for money twice: first time for $150 in order to take a bus to Moscow to make an international call to me. Second time for $750 in order to get her VISA/Passport to come to the US. Then requesting $1300 towards airfair that I had to send to her because the only way she could get a ticket was to go through a travel agency. When I called her on the fact that I could purchase a ticket here and all she needed to do was show up at the airport and board the plane, she scolded me saying that the VISA would take at least 10 days or so, and I should not have purchased the ticket and that I need to send her that money in 10 days so she can get the ticket herself. I let her know this was not going to happen that way. I haven't recieved a letter since. It has been 1 1/2 days since I heard from her. She was writing me everyday, sometimes twice. All the time declaring her love for me and anything or way you could come up with that was romantic; without ever being nasty. Something out of a romance novel situation. All the letters started about 4-4 1/2 months ago. Started out by me going to "Match.com". She would IM me to chat while I was searching to meet a local gal withing a 100 mile radius of where I live. First of all telling me that she was in New York, NY. Secretly giving me her personal email address. To earn my trust, she let me know that she really was in Russian and was not aloud to been on an international dating site. Telling me she was from NY was her way of getting her email. The truth in this was the hook to get me to trust her. |

Description of the situation is on previous page in my comments. I printed out most of the letters. I don't have the first few and none are saved on my PC. Looks like similar stories. Except more declarations of undying love and the need to be with me and hold my hands and look into my eyes and to be able to kiss me in person, etc...... You get the picture. Oh yeah ...... I am her prince and she will love me forever and ever.
