| Scamming scenario : My first complaint is with an Ivy Bernson, (ivy_bernson@yahoo,com) who claimed on her Match dot com ad that she resided in Montana, USA? on or about the 20th of July, 2008. However, don't believe a word of it ! Ms. Bernson had a subscription to Match dot com which I had found, using a "favorites match" search engine on their website, and I later emailed her, as well as text-messaged her to a Match dot com mail box, which she replied to, almost immediately ?
However, what was weird was that Ms. Bernson claimed (according to her Match dot com ad) to be residing in Kalispell, State of Montana, USA, i.e. some some small town? but when contacted on Yahoo Instant messenger, she actually claimed to be living in AFRICA! (Pokuase, Ghana, a suberb of Accra, the capital city? )
I can tell you that her claim that she resided in Montana, USA was a total fabrication and lie, and she was likely misrepresenting the public as a result ? I do believe her claim, that she was living in Ghana, however, but unfortunately, I cannot confirm that address.
Unfortunately, Ms. Bernson is a very crafty liar and very good at her job? When I asked her to explain the discrepency (ie living in Montana?) to these and other questions, she always made a reason to leave Yahoo IM, early, because she claimed was "tired" - or some other reason given ? It was really annoying, chatting to her for up to 20 minutes, and then, all of a sudden, when you ask her a probing question, she just vanishes into thin air and leaves me hanging on Yahoo IM? This happened over and over, again, during our two week relationship and it got frustrating, actually ?
Ms. Branson also claimed to be living with her "Aunty" in a suburb of Accra called Pokuase, at 34 Central St., Accra, Ghana. She claims to also have an Uncle who lives at 37 Central St, a few doors down from where she lives, in Accra ? (Again, I cannot verify any of this information?)
Ms. Branson claims that she was born in Malta (an Island country near Italy) to a Maltese mother and Russian father, but that her parents died when she was 12 years old? When I asked for details, she got really testy with me on Yahoo IM, one night, so I didn't pursue the matter ? But she could be right about that story, since she looks both Russian and/or Italian or from the Mediterrean ?
We then exchange some 20 emails and text messages on Yahoo IM, and then apparently, she stopped writing me, about a week ago, (July 31st) So then, I did some investigations online and found out that this SAME woman is the subject of at least THREE complaints from other men and that these complaints come complete with other pictures of Ms. Bernson (and assuming other identities, such as a "Gifty Fay" from Australia), and which are posted on www.scammers.dot com!
Needless to say, I am just devestated by this piece of news and feel really conned and ripped off by this deceitful person ! I feel like my heart was stomped on, but I will admit that Ivy (or whatever her real name is ?) is very good at her job, as she is a very crafty and manipulative liar, probably one of the best I've ever seen, bit no different than the type of women who goes to the local bar, gets drunk or stoned and then lies about her life in order to impress men ?
Unfortunately, unless the Ghanian police (and Interpol?) stops and arrests Ms. Branson and her helpers (which, no doubt she may have ?) and seriously put her and the helpers in jail, there is no question (in my mind) that she will continue to resurface and try to con other innocent men on the internet out of their money ? In other words, the problem will not be "going away," just because you've reported it here ?
Fortunately, I had the good fortune and common sense NOT sent her any money (there were numerous, numerous, requests by the way, for a variety of excuses, from being sick with malaria, to not having money for her home phone, no money for her internet, no job, etc. etc!

(Pokuase, Ghana, a suberb of Accra, the capital city? ) Then, the day after she met me, she announces to me that she has cancelled her subscription to Match dot com, because she claimed she has "finally found her soulmate: (i.e. me ?)" which I found a little naive and frankly, presumptous, since I had only known her for 24 hours?
I can tell you that her claim that she resided in Montana, USA was a total "b.s." fabrication and lie, and she was knowingly misrepresenting me and the public, as a result ? I do believe her claim that she was living in Ghana, however, but unfortunately, I cannot confirm that address.

When I asked her if she was employed, she claimed that she had no job and assisted her Aunty at a food market business during the daytime ? I sincerely believed that she was unemployed and was struggling for money, but obviously conning and lying to men over the internet is hardly a bonafide way of making a living ?
